Biography
Lee works with employers of all sizes, operating in all sectors; ensuring compliance and managing risk in respect all employment tax, CIS and NIC related issues.
He also has experience of dealing with HMRC voluntary disclosures and of managing and dealing with HMRC Employer Compliance reviews.
He has worked in tax, including roles at HMRC, for over 20 years and has specialised in employment taxes and the Construction Industry Scheme for over 10 years. He has broad experience of helping employers deal with areas of employer tax compliance which are regarded as high risk, including (but not limited to) the treatment of termination payments, optional remuneration arrangements, the tax status of off-payroll workers, travel expenses, National Minimum Wage, tips and gratuities, and staff entertainment.
Lee has contributed towards Employment Taxes Voice the specialist employment taxes supplement to Tax Advisor magazine and has presented at the Chartered Institute of Taxation’s annual specialist employment taxes seminar for tax professionals.
