Biography
Lizzie is a Director in our national Innovation Reliefs team, based in our London office. Lizzie supports companies across a huge range of sectors in accessing tax incentives for innovation, including R&D tax credits and patent box tax relief.
Lizzie is a mechanical engineer by discipline, originally in an international engineering consultancy, before spending the last 16 years specialising in R&D tax credits. Lizzie has prepared claims for multi-national groups, FTSE100 companies, and small- to medium-sized enterprises.
Using this wealth of experience, Lizzie prepares robust R&D claims, develops streamlined R&D claims processes, partners with clients to ensure knowledge transfer and supports clients with their in-house systems resulting in robust claims that generate cash benefits for their businesses.
When asked why she is passionate about her job, Lizzie says:
"I love the diversity of the science and technology in my clients’ businesses and the excitement that they have for their work. I enjoy the animated discussions about niche areas of technology with top class engineers and scientists and helping them access funds that can support the next steps of their technology development."
Outside of work, Lizzie spends her time enthusiastically cheering on her two budding rugby-playing children, recreating international dishes and having an on-going battle with the garden.
