Rachel joined RSM in November 2016 from The Royal Bank of Canada where she was joint head of the London private client tax team. Prior to this Rachel spent 12 years with PWC. Her interest in advising international private clients began early in her career when she did her first overseas secondment in the mid-1990s. She gained further international experience in the early 2000s when she worked in PWC’s Geneva office.
Asked what motivates her in her working life, Rachel said:
“I love the variety that my work brings – each client is unique and applying the tax rules to their real-life issues makes my working life challenging and interesting.”
Rachel’s home life is busy with a husband, a school age child and a puppy. Lockdown has opened up new interests for her, such as sewing and crosswords, but she remains a socialite at heart and is keen to reconnect with family and friends over a glass of wine soon.
