Biography
Richard is a Technology Risk Assurance Director at RSM UK, focusing on cyber security and IT consulting. He has over 20 years of experience, having worked for various leading IT companies during his career and performed projects and migrations for many large corporates and listed companies. He is passionate about cyber security and risk management and has spent the majority of his career growing and understanding complex security systems.
Richard started out in IT in 1999 after studying and completing a Microsoft MCSE and A+ certification and is a CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker). Richard spent the first 6 years as a roaming engineer, attending to day to day support requests and a further 6 years managing a top mobile network's internal infrastructure.
Richard joined RSM South Africa in 2016 where he was the National IT Manager and Senior Manager of IT consulting/cyber security in the Risk Advisory department before relocating to the UK.
Richard is a regular speaker on cyber security and often releases articles on the ever changing cyber security landscape.
