Biography
Andy is a specialist financial reporting partner and leads the Southern region Accounting and Business Advisory (ABA) team.
Andy and his team can provide expertise in application of accounting standards and advise on disclosures in financial information including corporate governance disclosures, support companies preparing for an IPO (Initial Public Offering),including preparation of historical financial information and IFRS conversion) or provide accounting support on other transactions such as acquisitions or restructuring.
Andy’s team is also able to provide annual compliance support covering; preparation for year-end financial statements, preparing consolidations and provision of extra resources to stretched finance teams on a secondment basis. As a proactive advisor, Andy introduces new ideas and anticipates potential issues that may impact his clients. Increasingly, auditors are often prevented from providing direct support due to independence requirements, however Andy’s team can provideWhen asked what motivates him in his role, Andy said;
"I like making a difference every day, whether it is for my clients, my team or further afield. Supporting and helping others through challenges and obstacles is so rewarding, and when you can combine this with professional skills to build trusting relationships, work becomes pure joy."
Andy spends his weekends ferrying his two boys to various sport clubs and football matches with the occasional refereeing of junior football matches. Andy is a trustee at a local hospice and a supporter of various local charities. When Andy does get some time to himself, he likes to unwind with some video games, building Lego and look after his tropical fish.
