Joost Willemsen

 Biography

Joost leads the Global VAT Compliance and Reporting (GVCR) team – a key component of the RSM UK outsourcing practice. The GVCR team provides an end-to-end, technology-driven VAT compliance outsourcing offering for clients with a UK or global VAT footprint.

Joost has extensive experience in indirect tax technology, compliance and reporting and uses it to provide clients with exceptional service quality, a first-class user experience and optimal value. He leverages cutting edge technology in data analysis, data management and data visualisation as part of this process.

Before joining RSM, Joost has worked in two Big 4 accounting firms as a specialist on the intersection between VAT advisory and indirect tax technology. He was responsible for leading indirect tax analytics and compliance engagements for a number of high-profile clients.

When asked what motivates him, Joost said:

In his spare time, Joost enjoys hiking with his wife and dogs.
